Capcom officially revealed Resident Evil Veronica—a full remake of the 2000 classic Code: Veronica—during the Summer Game Fest showcase. Dropping the “Code” from its original title, the survival horror game is slated for release in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
The game’s reveal trailer confirms a reimagined take on the classic story. It features a first-person sequence (similar to Resident Evil Requiem) where Claire Redfield arrives at a Parisian apartment tracking her brother Chris. The trailer concludes with Claire being ambushed and kidnapped, setting up the iconic Umbrella facility breakout plot.
